Ha is a gender specialist with 18 years of experience in the development field with particular focus on gender and women’s empowerment; vulnerability and sustainable livelihoods; and civil society development. She has led several initiatives that have built institutional capacity on gender, and mainstreaming gender into development programs. She is experienced in leading and conducting research, study and assessment using participatory approaches. She has a strong commitment to issues of economic and social justice, as well as finding ways to achieve these by empowering marginalized social groups and communities to fight injustice, and expanding spaces to promote voices of civil society. Ha holds a masters degree in gender and development studies, specializing in the environment.
