Biophysical M&E Dashboard
The Biophysical M&E Dashboard supports the monitoring and management of large-scale sustainable landscape projects by using satellite data to determine landscape conditions before and after project intervention.
Application Purpose
The Biophysical M&E Dashboard monitors, evaluates, and reports landscape improvements in Cambodia. Developed to address the demand to monitor and evaluate projects that target biophysical improvement and enhance biodiversity conservation on the ground, it offers a wide range of biophysical parameters, such as the number of hectares of forest cover change in significant areas showing improved biophysical conditions as a result of project assistance. The dashboard also provides information on forest alerts, forest fire hotspots, and land cover changes, which users can review over a selected area for a certain time period. This service could benefit NGOs and conservation projects in Cambodia to monitor the improvement of biophysical conditions and the achievement of sustainable landscape management. The service can be replicated for other development partners.
Application Uses
The dashboard is used for monitoring and managing large-scale sustainable landscape management projects by using satellite data to determine landscape conditions before and after project intervention. The dashboard can also be used to monitor forest cover changes and provide a robust platform to evaluate the performance of forest conservation projects in Cambodia. It can be replicated for other development partners.
