Ogulgerek Annayeva
Ogulgerek Annayeva works as the Communications Officer of SERVIR Southeast Asia program at the Geospatial Information Department. Previously, she worked as the National Technical Officer at the Regional Office for Europe and Central Asia of the United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNDRR). In her role, she coordinated UNDRR’s Central Asia Initiative and was part of the UN Country Team and UN Communication Group. In addition, she gained experience as the Communications Analyst at the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) where she was responsible for communications and implementation of the Resource Leverage and Partnership Strategy.
Ogulgerek holds a BA degree in International Studies with concentration in Peace Studies and Conflict Resolution from the University of Oregon, USA and MA degree in Conflict Analysis and Resolution from the Sabanci University, Istanbul, Turkiye. She had developed Peace Research skills at the University of Oslo and Peace Research Institute of Oslo in Norway.
In her free time, she is interested in photography and creative writing.
