Geospatial Application Developer

Thannarot Kunlamai (Kwan) is a geospatial application developer with over eight years of experience. She has worked extensively with various levels of government, stakeholders, and national and international partners. Her expertise lies in web development, particularly in visualizing remote sensing and GIS data on mobile and web applications, using open-source technology, making complex geospatial data accessible and understandable to both technical and non-technical users.

Before joining ADPC, Kwan worked as a Web GIS Developer at the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), where she developed web-based and mobile GIS applications utilized by various government agencies and academic institutions. She also served as a Geospatial Web Developer at Thaicom Public Company Limited in Thailand.

Kwan holds a Bachelor’s degree in Geography from Naresuan University, a Master’s degree in Remote Sensing and GIS from the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) in Thailand, and a second Master’s degree in Information Science from Tohoku University in Japan. During her studies, her research focused on building multi-modal Artificial Intelligence Visual Question Answering (VQA) systems and applying them to specific domains.
